the pond grasses have turned from green to golden, tugging at my seaside roots
Kelly Salasin
The world has turned from red to pumpkin
pumpkin colored sky upon the birch
pumpkin colored road, all crunchy
pumpkin colored carriage whisking children back to school
pumpkin colored world
made so by the magic wand
of the sun
who offers this last bold act
of color
before we open
into the long
winter night
of white.
Kelly Salasin, October 09
a morning so dark,
i could drown in it,
if not for the puncture of light
from the ground~
reds, yellows, oranges
wet jewels delighting
my soul
Kelly Salasin
HOLD ON (little leaves) HOLD ON!
This morning’s hard frost
makes such clear lines,
like a single voice
in a jumble of
autumn’s noise.
