  1. I love this so much. It is so beautifully written. You really capture what is so toxic and damaging about the multiple, personal screens. I am so itching to move to VT but also feel that we’d have to cut the cable line/wireless, too. To me these days the loudest noise is virtual. I quit FB in March 2012 and for a long time it was great (other than the fear & sadness that creep back in once you give up that instant-numbing technique) but lately I’ve felt…strange…disconnected…loose..cut-loose…irrelevant…thinking about it more but anyway thanks for this beautiful, beautiful post.
